Roseanne Barr will make her return to television for the first time since being fired from ABC over a racist tweet about a former aide to President Barak Obama.

The 69-year-old comedian will produce and perform in “A Roseanne Comedy Special” in early 2023 on Fox Nation, her first stand-up comedy special in 16 years, the network announced Tuesday.

The one-hour special will feature Barr’s “signature comedic take on a variety of topics, with no subject off limits,” Fox Nation promised.

“Roseanne is a comedy icon whose humor connects with the American audience like no other,” Fox Nation president Jason Klarman said in a statement.

“Her ability to channel the challenges of everyday people and find the humor in it all has earned her the passionate following of millions of dedicated fans.”

“A Roseanne Comedy Special” marks Barr’s first new project since she was ousted from her own revived show in 2018 for calling Valerie Jarrett, a former White House adviser, the baby of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.” Barr brushed it off as a “bad joke” but that wasn’t enough to satiate the ABC network heads, who rebooted the show without her and called it “The Conners,” killing her character off in the process.

Fox Nation, Fox News’ subscription streaming service, has been ramping up original content, including docuseries hosted by Kelsey Grammar and Kevin Costner and plans for original feature films over the next year.
