Roseanne Barr complains about not being able to use homophobic slur: 'I put the Q in LGBTQ'

You never know what Roseanne Barr will say next and on Easter, she discussed a homophobic slur that was followed by a rant about not being able to use the slur herself.

Nearly a year after being fired by ABC over a racist tweet, the former TV star called someone a “f*g” at the very end of her “Happy Easter from the Jews!” message on her YouTube channel. After questioning the concept of Easter, then jokingly blaming God for not helping control her nicotine addiction, she oddly seethed (at the 1:53 mark), “F*** that f*g Owen Benjamin talking about growing carrots and women aren’t funny. B***! I wish you could think as far ahead as me.” Perhaps referring to the alt-right stand-up comedian.

The whole thing got worse when she posted a second video about using the slur. While she pointed out that it’s a “hateful” word, she mocked the rules about using it — and said she uses it in private anyway.

“The word f*g is a really hateful word, isn’t it?” the Roseanne star said to the camera. “Especially when it’s like one gay calling another gay guy that? Whoo! Have you ever been in the middle of one of them hate marriages? Whoof! It’s like, ‘Wait a minute, we’re not supposed to say that word.’ ‘How come you’re saying that word?’ ‘What?’ Oh, I just can’t say the word.’ Well, I can when I’m in the house, but I can’t say it outside of the house. Okay, I get your rules. But it is a hateful word and we should get rid of it. Get rid of it being spoken.”

She went on to call herself queer, but not in any type of coming out message. In fact, we’re not sure what her message is.

“All that LGBTQ stuff, okay let me just be real, I put the Q in LGBTQ. Okay? Cause I am queer as two motherf***ers. I’m queer, I’m alien, I don’t belong here with all these people. They makes no sense. They are very queer. And that makes me a queer, I guess. But I did put the Q in it. Bye!”

In yet another video titled “Malcolm x” soon after, Barr mocked the whole thing.

“You know what — they’re ruling us all by the use of words and our definition of said words, cause that’s where they got all the lockdown laws about hate speech,” she said sarcastically. We need to transform some of them words – we need to add a new definition to them and I want to talk about that word that shames gay kids. I really want to turn that around cause who’s doing that? Using that bad word? And why?”

She referenced Malcolm X in that video while showing the food she sells locally to keep her community eating. “I’m gonna talk about Malcolm X, even though they call me a racist. I don’t care what the f**k they call me,” referencing her firing by ABC last May after posting a racist tweet about Obama aide Valerie Jarrett.

Barr recently addressed her Jarrett comments again in an interview with the Washington Post, which also talked about how Barr also went from being called “a champion of gay rights” by GLAAD to someone with an “anti-trans” record.

In the interview, Barr said her eyes were opened “that there’s a real serious issue with trans lives and trans rights for trans people. They want to be safe. But you know we tell our little girls to watch out for penises basically to stay safe. So what a mixed message this is. And I think it really needs more analysis and a lot more conversation, and I said that 400 f***ing times.”
