CANANDAIGUA — Starting Friday, Roseland Waterpark is officially open for business.

Beginning at 11 a.m. Friday, the 56-acre waterpark located at 250 Eastern Blvd. in Canandaigua will be available to anyone looking to beat the summer heat. Officials from the waterpark, now in its 21st season of operation, said in an announcement how eager they were to welcome summer visitors.

"We're so excited to have our guests back and splashing in the waves," said Operations Manager Ryan Fuller. Fuller added, "we can’t wait to spend the summer giving our guests the opportunity to relax and play safely."

While the waterpark experienced problems with staffing last year, leading to a truncated summer season, Marketing and Sales Group Manager Meg Fuller said they were more optimistic about their staffing this year, although aspects of the waterpark's operation may still be impacted. Applicants can apply through the website at RoselandWaterpark.com.

In addition to the waterpark, the Roseland Wake Park has also been open for its eighth operating season since May 29. The wake park features five towers with cables for pulling up to nine wakeboarders around Muar Lake, which has ramps and rails for riders. Roseland Wake Park is located near the waterpark.

The waterpark will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 5, according to the announcement. Admission tickets can be purchased online and guests can save up to $5 per admission if they purchase their tickets online three or more days in advance of their visit.
