CHILLICOTHE — On Monday Ross County Community Action opened up an emergency shelter to those who need it.

It is located at 365 Keller Road. It is open to men, women and families and will be open from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

The weather forecast is showing Chillicothe will be experiencing lows of 8 degrees in the coming days with a chance of snow showers.

Transportation is available from 8 to 9 p.m. pickup locations are the 7th and Sugar Street bus stop, Cristy's Pizza, Church of Christ bus stop, and Chillicothe public library. Walk-ins are also welcome. Masks are required during transportation and will be provided if needed.

The shelter will provide snacks, access to resources, and showers to those who need it.
