Rotary raising funds for park renovation, new amphitheater

“To recognize the significance of our 100-year milestone, we have undertaken a bold campaign to raise at least $500,000 to support the renovations at Don W. Miller Memorial Park and the development of a new Amphitheater in Downtown Fremont” said Rotarian Roger Kuns, co-chair of the Centennial Committee for the Rotary Club.

“This event will help get us closer to our goal and funding two transformative projects for our community,” Angie Morelock, Club President said. “While this fundraiser is seen by attendees as a great way to hear live music and socialize with friends and neighbors in the heart of our downtown, it really serves as the conduit for raising money that will truly impact our town and give us all even more reasons to love where we live.”

The event features the following:

● The Bobby G Band — A veteran musician, and a great southern-slow-cooked blues singer, Bobby delivers tunes with a gentle drag.

● Duke Tumatoe and The Power Trio — Hailing from Chicago, and often heard on the Bob and Tom radio show, their mix of guitar, bass, drums and keys can be heard at over 200 dates per year or on one of their 12 albums.

● Craft beers from Twin Oast Brewing, Ohio’s premier Farm-to-Fermenter brewery on Catawba Island.  Domestic beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages will also be available.  Event is age 21 and over only.

● Brats from locally owned and operated Ballville E-Z Shop and sauerkraut from The Fremont Company, both staples in the local business community.
