Rotting Christ, Led Zeppelin tribute and Dwight Yoakam among top concerts coming up

Sun City Dance Competition

If you love dance shows, you'll want to get tickets for the Sun City Dance Competition, Thursday through Sunday at the El Paso County Coliseum, 4100 E Paisano Drive. The competition, celebrating 15 years, features a variety of dance styles from ballet, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, tap, contemporary and many others.

Competition is among 19 high schools and 29 studios from Arizona, New Mexico, Mexico, East Texas and El Paso.

Dancing competition starts at 3 p.m. Thursday. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Competition will continue at noon Friday, 8 a.m. Saturday and Grand Champion Competition at 11 a.m. Sunday. Tickets will be available at the door. VIP $30 per day, general admission $12 per day: and Grand Champion tickets for Sunday are $15 each. Cash only.

Mozart concert

The El Paso Symphony Orchestra will present an All-Mozart concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Plaza Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, ranging from $17 to $49, plus fees, available through the orchestra's Website.

Rotting Christ 'Under Our Black Cult Tour 2023'

Greek metal trailblazer Rotting Christ will bring its tour to El Paso with a performance, starting at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rockhouse Bar and Grill, 9828 Montana Ave. Also performing will be metal kings Carach Angren, and a modern American black metal band Uada. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $28, plus fees, available via Eventbrite.com

Led Zeppelin music tribute concert

The El Paso Symphony Orchestra will bridge the gulf between rock n' roll and classical music with its performance of Led Zeppelin music at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Plaza Theatre. Tickets, ranging from $45 to $80, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com and the Plaza Box Office. Information: 915-231-1100.

Dwight Yoakam

The country singer's hits include "Guitars, Cadillacs" and "Turn it On, Turn it Up, Turn Me Loose." He will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Abraham Chavez Theatre. Tickets, ranging from $39 to $129, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Musician and influence Kenia OS

Mexican singer and songwriter Kenia OS will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Plaza Theatre. Tickets, ranging from $31 to $91, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Cheap Trick

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick, beloved around the globe since 1974, will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Abraham Chavez Theatre. Tickets, ranging from $31 to $111, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.
