The city of Round Rock has implemented a new utility billing payment system to allow for what is says is a better payment experience for customers.

The city of Round Rock launched a new utility billing payment system on Monday.

The new system will provide better payment experiences and more payment options for customers, according to a city news release. In addition to current payment methods, the new system will accept American Express, Discover, PayPal, Wal-Mart pay and e-Check

The new system can be accessed at roundrocktexas.gov/paymybill. The new portal replaces the old portal.

Customers who have auto-payments will have to register a new account in the new system, establish auto-payments and transfer their payment information, the release said. The city cannot transfer payment information as it is encrypted.

The new system does not impact customers who pay by phone, in person or by ACH draft, through bank bill pay, one-time online payments or via mail.
