Roundup: Kaiser muscles Newark Catholic girls basketball past Danville
Fini Kaiser recorded a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double Thursday, powering the Newark Catholic girls basketball team to a 49-27 victory against visiting Danville.
Kylie Gibson added 15 points, four assists and three steals for the Green Wave (15-3), who host Heath at 12:15 p.m. Saturday with an opportunity to earn at least a share of the Licking County League-Cardinal Division title.
GCA drops home game
Granville Christian was held to four points apiece during the middle two quarters, falling 49-30 to visiting Tree of Life in Mid-Ohio Christian Athletic League play.
Brianna Hubbard led the Lions (10-9, 6-4) with 12 points. Chloe Hamilton was one of four players with four points.

Granville sweeps Heath
Cohan Bafford rolled games of 212 and 194, leading the Granville boys to an upset of Heath, 1,999-1,973 at Park Lanes.
Keegan Painter added a high game of 202, Stephen Schachte 190, Tristan Tolloty 165 and Joe Dickson 161 for the Blue Aces.
Bryce Holmes rolled games of 214 and 190 to lead the Bulldogs. Oliver Walton added a high game of 205 and Payton Love games of 199 and 189.
Kamryn Dixon rolled a high game of 192 and Sarah Ghiassi was right behind at 189 for the Granville girls, who took runner-up in the LCL with a victory against Heath, 1,904-1,809.
Emily Travis added games of 174 and 161 and Madelyn Hooker a high game of 159 for the Blue Aces.
Alexis Martin's games of 205 and 161 and Summer Mohler's 181 and 162 led the Bulldogs.
