The metro-east softball season continued with several games over the weekend and Monday.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

Highland 2, Belleville West 0 (Saturday)

Belleville West fell to 6-5.

Highland 8, Mascoutah 4

The Bulldogs downed the Indians in a four-run win.

Highland improved to 3-5-1. Mascoutah fell to 4-8.

Karlie Dant and Maggie Grohmann led the Bulldogs with two hits and one RBI. Sophia Donoho pitched six innings with five strikeouts.

Alton 9, Collinsville 8

The Redbirds got by the Kahoks in a one-run win.

Alton improved to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the Southwestern Conference while Collinsville fell to 1-11, 1-3.

Jordan Watsek led Alton with two hits and two RBI. Grace Presley pitched a full game with seven strikeouts for the win.

Red Bud 11, Gibault 1

The Musketeers cruised past the Hawks in a 10-run win.

Red Bud improved to 7-6. Gibault fell to 3-4.

Lyla Hess led Red Bud with three hits and four RBI. Danielle Schmitz pitched a no-hitter in three innings pitched.

Columbia 16, New Athens 2

The Eagles coasted to a 14-run win against the Yellow Jackets.

The Knights downed the Greyhounds in a 15-run win.

Waterloo 9, Triad 2

The Bulldogs downed the Knights by seven runs.

Waterloo improved to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. Triad fell to 3-5, 0-1.

Aiden Dintelmann had three hits and four RBI for the Bulldogs. Sam Hartoin led Triad with two hits.

Mia Miller pitched a complete game with six strikeouts for the victory.

Serenity Childress led the Lancers with four hits. Oliva Hemmerle earned the win. Lyla Hess had three hits and an RBI for Red Bud.

Civic Memorial 9, Jerseyville 4

The Eagles got past the Panthers with a five-run victory.

Civic Memorial improved to 8-2 overall and 1-0 in the MVC.
