Baseball

Seacrest Country Day 10, SFCA 1: The Stingrays took care of the King's to advance to Class 2A-District 12 Championship. Dan DiNorcia went 4-for-4, doubling and homering for Seacrest. High Point signee Johannes Lopez pitched seven innings for the Stingrays, allowing five hits with seven strikeouts.

St. John Neumann 11, ECS 0: The Celtics defeated the Sentinels in five innings. Pitcher Dawson Jones threw a complete game, allowing five hits with five strikeouts for Neumann.

Bishop Verot 4, CSN 3: The Vikings handled a nail-biter against the Seahawks, walking it off to advance to the Class 3A-District 8 Championship against Cardinal Mooney. Verot's Dylan Peck pitched the top half of the seventh, striking out one batter before walking it off in the bottom half. Maddix Simpson went 3-for-4 for Verot.

Bonita Springs 2, Port Charlotte 1: The Bull Sharks, hours after celebrating six seniors signing college commitments, advanced to the Class 4A-District 13 title game after defeating the Pirates at home. Andrew College signee Tyler Lambert went the distance, allowing just three hits, one walk, and one earned run while striking out 12.

Barron Collier 10, Lely 4: UCF commit Mason Ceccarelli helped the Cougars break it open in the bottom of the sixth, as the Cougars scored five runs to deny the Trojans of an upset.

Naples 12, Estero 0: The Golden Eagles cruised past the Wildcats in five innings. Naples saw six different batters earn hits in their win. Naples pitcher Marcos Torres threw five innings, allowing two hits while striking out five.

Island Coast 11, Mariner 2: Alabama commit Jake Mueller went yard on three separate occasions in the Gators' win over the Tritons.

Seacrest Country Day 7, Everglades City 5: The Stingrays edged out the Gators in 2A-12 district play. Seacrest pitcher Marena Low pitched seven innings, earning 11 strikeouts. Adilynn Barley and Low had multiple hits for the Stingrays.

Bishop Verot 10, Gateway 0: The Vikings sailed past the Griffins in five innings behind pitcher Victoria Ash's perfect game with 13 strikeouts. Bishop Verot saw three different batters earn multiple hits in the win.

Mariner 2, Cypress Lake 1: The Tritons kept the Panthers scoreless for six innings to seal a win in 4A-13 district play. Laila Jones had two hits and a run for Mariner.

Ida Baker 16, Cape Coral 1: The Bulldogs win in four innings against the Seahawks after a nine-run barrage in the third inning. Alana Hutchinson and Makayla Nieves both tallied three hits and combined for seven RBI.

Naples 14, Lely 0: The Golden Eagles cruised past the Trojans in five innings while committing one error as a team. Naples pitcher Joslyn Baker struck out eight while allowing only one hit.

Riverdale 14, North Port 4: The Raiders handled business in the final two innings, scoring 10 runs in their final two frames against the Bobcats to advance to the district championship.
