Roundup: Second-half surge send Heath football past Johnstown
The Heath football team outscored host Johnstown 26-0 in the second half Friday to rally for a 33-24 victory to wrap up Licking County League-Cardinal Division play.
Daylen McIntyre caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Brayden Bayles and also ran for 1-yard score. Bayles added a 70-yard TD pass to Conner Toomey and a 12-yard TD run for the Bulldogs (6-4, 4-1).
Spencer Boyette kicked a 27-yard field goal for Heath, which according to projections from Joe Eitel earned the No. 11 seed in Division V, Region 19 and will visit Wheelersburg next Friday.
Nathan Sheets had two early TD runs, and Kaynen Lindsey recovered two fumbles for the Johnnies (3-7, 3-2), who led 21-0 after one quarter.
NC cruises past Northridge
Miller Hutchison threw for a pair of touchdown passes, leading Newark Catholic to a 49-0 victory against visiting Northridge to win an outright LCL-Cardinal title
Hutchison connected with Grant Moore for 46 yards and Cooper Fink for 25 yards. He also ran for a 6-yard TD.
Mikey Hess added TD runs 1 and 47 yards, and Kyle Langenbrunner scored on a 6-yard run. Joey Couzins capped the scoring with a fumble return for the Green Wave (7-1, 5-0), who according to projections from Joe Eitel will be the No. 1 seed in Division VII, Region 27 and host Bishop Rosecrans next week.
Brayden Bingham threw for 58 yards for the Vikings (1-9, 1-4). Haedyn Parman caught four passes for 43 yards.

Liberty wins MOCAL
Kaden Minier totaled two goals and an assist, fueling Liberty Christian in a 4-2 victory at Madison Christian to earn a share of its second consecutive Mid-Ohio Christian Athletic League championship.
Caleb Reichert added a goal and two assists and Josh Onabanjo a goal for the Eagles (9-5-3, 4-1). Ethan Gohn made eight saves.
