Roundup: Soloman runs wild in Frostproof's win; highlight from Fort Meade, Victory

FROSTPROOF — Frostproof's offense was clicking against Hardee in the make-up game on Monday night.

With Donavan Soloman leading the way, Frostproof ran to a 42-20 victory over Wauchula Hardee at Faris Brannen Stadium.

Solomon finished with 200 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries, but he wasn't a one-man show.

Quarterback Nathan Jenkins completed 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns, both to Xavier Gay. Gay finished with 54 yards on three receptions.

Isaiah Sheppard also had a rushing touchdown.

Frostproof finished with 364 yards of total offense.

The Bulldogs (1-1) jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and were never threatened. Each team scored one touchdown in each of the final three quarters.

Fort Meade 21, A'kelynn's Christian 8

Fort Meade finished with less than 200 yards of total offense, but it was enough to pick its second win of the season.

Ja'Marion Davis, who rushed for 57 yards on five carries, ran for one score, and Ryan Valdez had a 40-yard touchdown run on his only carry.

The Miners averaged 9.8 yards per carry and finished with 147 yards rushing.

Quarterback Carson Montsdeoca complete 5 of 12 passes for 43 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown pass to RJ Cabrera. '

Victory Christian 34, Christ's Church 7

Victory Christian quarterback Jackson Benton threw for 294 yards and three touchdowns in Victory Chrstian's rout of Christ's Church.

Benton, who completed 16 of 25 passes, threw touchdown passes to Hayden Brown, Rashad Orr and Janius Taylor. Orr finished with three receptions for 117 yards, and Taylor had six receptions for 75 yards.

Orr also was the leading rusher with 50 yards on four carries as the Storm ran for 84 yards to finish with 382 yards of total offense.
