Roundup: White leads Licking Valley girls basketball past Heath

Kylee White beat a path to the foul line Wednesday, allowing her to pile up 21 points and lead the Licking Valley girls basketball team a 47-37 victory against visiting Heath in Licking County League play.

White finished 13-for-16 from the foul line. Sophia Crabtree added 10 points and Tori Mooney eight with each hitting a pair of 3-pointers for the Panthers (9-4, 7-2).

Taliyah Holmes led the Bulldogs (2-11, 1-6) with 11 points. Corinne Ault added 10 points and Caroline Robertson eight.

Watkins beats Johnstown

Olivia Perry hit both of her 3-pointers in the second quarter and totaled 15 points, sparking Watkins Memorial in a 50-40 victory against visiting Johnstown in LCL play.

Alexia Gartner and Cameryn Wheeler added 10 points apiece and Alyssa Haynes eight for the Warriors (12-3, 8-0).

Abigail Adkins erupted for 25 points for the Johnnies (7-6, 5-4). Brooke Barb added seven.

Granville wins at home

Twelve players scored for Granville as the top-ranked Blue Aces beat visiting Northridge 60-14 in LCL play.

Harper Annarino totaled 13 points for the Blue Aces (15-0, 8-0). Haley Strasser added 10, Cate Schieber nine and Ella Wigal eight.

Reese Callan and Layla Comisford scored five points apiece for the Vikings (2-13, 1-9).

Lakewood falls on road

Lakewood was outscored 16-4 in the second quarter of a 53-40 loss at Zanesville in LCL play.

Camryn Martindale led the Lancers (6-5, 4-3) with 12 points. Charlee Palmer hit two 3-pointers for six.

Jersey Draughn and Kandrea Sowers combined for 34 points for the Blue Devils (9-5, 6-3).

Swimming

Newark duo wins pair

Two Newark boys swimmers each won a pair of individual races during a meet at Coshocton.

Andrew Schweiger won the 200 individual medley (3:03.13) and 100 breaststroke (1:24.39), and Leyton Ricketts matched him in the 400 freestyle (6:04.50) and 100 backstroke (1:25.61).

William Chiacchira added a win in the 100 free (1:09.71).

In the girls meet, Maryn Hatfield won the 50 free (30.50) and Halen Swickard the 100 butterfly (1:25.32) for the Wildcats.

BOWLING

Szczyt leads Granville

Adam Szczyt rolled a high game of 204 for Granville on Tuesday in an LCL loss to Northridge.

Drew Ott added a high game of 176.

Emily Travis' 168 and Madelyn Hooker's 166 led the Granville girls in a victory. Kamryn Dixon added games of 147 and 145.
