Roundup: 'X man' nets career high as Rosecrans rolls

MILLERSPORT — Rosecrans' big man played large on Friday night.

Xander Daniels scored 13 of his career-high 18 points in the first three quarters, as the Bishops built an 18-point lead and never looked back in a 59-46 win against host Millersport in a Mid-State League-Cardinal Division game.

Daniels' big night came in strong support of guard Grady Labishak, whose 27 points paced all scorers. He had 19 in the first 24 minutes as Rosecrans (17-3) led 42-24 entering the fourth quarter.

Daniels and Labishak combined for 11 first-quarter points, but Jordan Ross connected on a trio of 3s and three others also scored to send the Lakers to a 16-14 lead after a quarter.

It went downhill for Millersport from there, as Labishak struck twice on 3s in the second to forge a 26-22 halftime lead. The Bishops then blitzed the hosts, 16-2, in the third to break loose as Daniels scored twice inside and Labishak added six.
