Route 6 in Dennis closed after early morning multi-vehicle crash

A serious multi-vehicle crash in Dennis shut down Route 6 eastbound early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred at mile marker 75 and resulted in at least one serious injury, according to a post on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's X, formerly Twitter, account at 6:37 a.m. Massachusetts State Police, and local fire, and emergency medical services were on the scene.

The scene was cleared and the highway reopened by 7:29 a.m., according to MassDOT.

A dispatcher at the Dennis Police Department said the state police are investigating the matter. The state police did not immediately respond to requests for information about the crash.
