Royal Air Maroc adds Boston-Casablanca nonstops
Royal Air Maroc is set to make Boston its fourth destination in the United States.
Starting June 22, the carrier will fly a schedule of three flights week to its base in Casablanca. Royal Air Maroc will use Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners on the route.
Royal Air Maroc formally applied for regulatory permission in January to launch the Boston-Casablanca route, and now the flights are on sale. The airline will fly one round-trip flight each Monday, Thursday and Saturday, according to Routes Online. The schedule will change in October, but will remain thrice-weekly.
As of Thursday (Feb. 7), tickets for the carrier’s first month of flying the Boston-Casablanca round trip were selling for $989 and up, according to a search of the Royal Air Maroc website.
Boston becomes the second U.S. destination to be announced by Royal Air Maroc since last summer. The carrier also will begin flying to Miami in April, also with a schedule of three weekly flights on Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Royal Air Maroc also flies to New York JFK and Washington Dulles.
Of particular note to frequent-flyers, the airline announced this past December that it intends to join the oneworld alliance. Oneworld, one of the world’s three big global frequent-flyer alliances, includes 14 full members. It is anchored by carriers like American, British Airways, Japan Airlines, LATAM, Qantas and Qatar Airways, among others.
