Royal Caribbean Is Opening the First Overwater Cabanas in the Bahamas

An exclusive retreat on Royal Caribbean’s private island destination Perfect Day at CocoCay is about to make your trip to the Bahamas even better.

Beginning Jan. 31, 2020, the new Coco Beach Club on CocoCay will officially be open for business, offering travelers unique and incredible luxury and relaxation during a stop on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

With the grand opening only a couple of short months away, beach club is available to book now and will have a capacity of 450 guests. This includes guests in 20 Floating Cabanas — the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas — that come with their very own slide. In addition, the Coco Beach Club will also offer 10 Beach Cabanas that can accommodate up to eight guests.

And when guests are not lounging in these luxurious cabanas, they can also enjoy a 2,626 square foot clubhouse, which has an oceanfront infinity pool, a complimentary restaurant, daybeds, and elevated amenities and services.

Coco Beach Club may be the first of its kind in the Bahamas, but there are also floating bungalows elsewhere in the Caribbean, including at one hotel in Antigua and Barbuda. Floating spas have also been popular at resorts in Tahiti, the Maldives, the Caribbean, and in Europe for many years.

To book a stay at the Coco Beach Club, guests must have an itinerary for visiting the Perfect Day at CocoCay with Royal Caribbean. There are 27 itineraries to choose from, beginning at $192 per person for a two-night excursion and continuing up to an eight-night holiday cruise starting at $3,049 per person. Pricing for the Coco Beach Club vary by season, but bookings for Floating Cabanas begin at $999, or $699 for Beach Cabanas.

There are also day passes available for $54 for adults and $34 for children, which give guests access to the exclusive private beach, the clubhouse, the infinity pool, beach chairs and towels, and complimentary dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant.
