Royal Visit Reveals Familiar Star Wars Ship Returning For Episode VIII

A Royal visit to the set of ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ has revealed a new bit of info about Rian Johnson upcoming sci-fi sequel.

Prince William and Prince Harry were visiting Pinewood earlier today to celebrate “the wealth of British creative talent” involved in producing the franchise when a photo of Prince Harry sat inside the cockpit of what looks like an A-Wing was tweeted by Kensington Royal.

Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, was on hand to give the Prince some pointers on the ship’s controls. The A-Wing (or RZ-1 A-wing starfighter to give it its full title) was first introduced in ‘Return of the Jedi’ where it formed part of the Rebel fleet attacking the second Death Star.

The nimble “strike fighter” also appeared in the animated ‘Star Wars: Rebels’ series, but this is the first time we’ll have seen the fan favourite vehicle in a live action ‘Star wars’ film since 1983.

Elsewhere on the Prince’s visit, the Royal siblings were picture having lightsaber duel and getting acquainted with the cast old and new.

Maybe the title of Episode XIII will be ‘The British Empire Strikes Back’?
