Ørsted Completes First Phase Of Building Offshore Wind Staging Center At Tradepoint Atlantic

Ørsted announced Wednesday it successfully completed the initial phases of Maryland's first offshore wind staging area center at Tradepoint Atlantic in Baltimore County.

- Helping Maryland go green, the Orsted says it has completed the first phase in creating an offshore wind center in Baltimore County. So the infrastructure will actually help handle components like wind turbine blades, foundations, and towers. They are now on to phase two, which is developing an additional 50 acres of land to store and assemble components of the offshore windmill farm. This will provide enough energy to power 35,000 homes. So it's not only good for the environment, it is also good for the economy. The center will create 1,400 jobs in our state.
