RubberDucks 3, Senators 1

George Valera drilled a solo home run over the batter's eye in straightaway center to lead the the host Ducks to their fifth straight victory at Canal Park on Friday night.

The RubberDucks (40-27) took a 2-1 lead in the second inning thanks to an RBI single by Chris Roller and a sacrifice fly by Brayan Rocchio that scored Julian Escobedo. Valera sealed the game with his 12th homer of the season in the fifth inning

Xzavion Curry, Thomas Ponticelli and Jerson Ramirez held the lead and were never truly threatened. Curry (5-3) cruised through 6⅔ innings, giving up one unearned run on six hits.
