Rudy Giuliani had roughly a minute to tell his "funny story" about radio commentator Rush Limbaugh on Steve Bannon's "War Room" podcast Thursday, a day after Limbaugh's death. To make his short story shorter, nobody laughed.

The anecdote revolves around a 2014 charity golf tournament where Giuliani, Limbaugh, and magazine publisher Marvin Shanken were paired, at the last minute, with LPGA star Michelle Wie, who was 25 at the time.

Bannon and his other guest, former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R), smiled and nodded until the part where Giuliani recounted how Wie "bends all the way over and her panties show." Then Greitens, who resigned amid a scandal involving alleged nonconsensual sex with his hairdresser, looked down toward his shoes and Bannon cleared his throat and tapped the microphone, pretty clearly uncomfortable.

"Is that okay to tell that joke? I'm not sure," Giuliani said to his stone-faced companions. "We already told it, so I don't know," Bannon said.
