RUDYARD — The Rudyard Bulldog Swim School is officially open for the summer, offering swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels at the Larry G. Davis Natatorium.

The Rudyard Bulldog Swim School follows the Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum, which focuses on water safety and skill development at all levels. From parent-child classes (age six months to three years) to preschool (age three-five years) and levels one through six for all skill levels, pool officials said the curriculum is designed to build confidence and proficiency in the water.

A variety of sessions and times are offered for lessons. Daytime lessons on Monday-Thursday begin with session one on June 12. Additional times include session four starting July 10 and session six on July 31. Evening lessons on Tuesday and Thursday begin with session three on June 13 as well as session five on July 11 and a final session seven on Aug. 1.

Competitive age group swimmers looking for an off-season technique clinic can join the competitive clinic taught by local competitive high school swimmers to receive individualized help with starts, turns and stroke techniques. Session two, the competitive clinic, will run at 11 a.m. June 26-29.

This summer, a bus service will be available from Detour, Cedarville and Pickford for an additional $20 during the first session.
