- Willie Tonga helped inspire Catalans Dragons to a 32-16 victory over Widnes Vikings on Monday to complete a fine Easter for the Super League outfit. The Dragons stormed to three tries inside 12 minutes and former Australian Test centre Tonga scored two of them. Pala and Eloi Pelissier also crossed in a breakneck opening period as the home side, who notched their first win in five games by beating Wakefield Wildcats on Friday, found themselves 22-0 ahead in their second fixture of the holiday period. Widnes eventually woke up, Jack Owens, Stefan Marsh and Alex Gerrard crossing for tries, but another Pelissier try and Damien Cardace added the finishing touches to a Dragons romp. Elsewhere on Monday, Hull FC left an injury-hit St Helens with a 28-20 triumph in hand, bookended by a tries from full-back Jamie Shaul.
