Trailing 34-28 midway through the third quarter, the Lawrence County girls went on a 19-5 run, leading to a 48-44 win over the Jaguars.

"Credit to them. They're a really athletic team and that's why we like playing them," Orr said, "But a lot of that was on us too. We had soome unforced turnovers and others things. Stuff that can't happen this late in the season."

Orr said he was impressed with senior Jaala Hawkins, who led the team with 16 points.

"She had some turnovers early and we had really gotten on her," Orr said. "But like everyone on this team, she's coachable. She turned it around and was a big reason why we won that game."

Ava Boyll finished with 10 points, while Savannah Williams had eight and Skye Letson had nine.

Jasmine Irvin led Mae Jemison with 15 points.
