Runaway mule goes on ‘solo adventure’ in Arizona neighborhood. Officers needed a lasso

Neighbors in an Arizona residential area spotted what they thought was a horse lumbering down the community’s sidewalks and streets.

So they called the cops to report the runaway equine, the Glendale Police Department said in a June 22 Facebook post.

It turned out to be an escaped mule “on a little solo adventure” so the neighbors weren’t too far off.

Details about how the mule got loose from its home on June 17 weren’t available, police said.

“Law enforcement, often times, requires us to wear many different hats,” police posted on social media. “In this instance, officers Castillo and Trevino put on their cowboy hats!”

Photos show the officers posing and leading the tall gray mule through the neighborhood with a lasso. They returned it to its home next to the neighborhood it had just strolled through.

Yee haw!” someone said on Instagram.

“That’s a big ol’ mule!” another person said on Facebook.
