Who is running for school board? Here's a list of Greater Cincinnati candidates

There are less than two weeks left for candidates to file to run for their local school board. So far, more than 100 candidates have pulled petitions to be on November ballots in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties.

Two local school districts with school board seats to fill have no candidates yet: Three Rivers Local School District in Hamilton County and Blanchester Local School District in Warren County. Three Rivers has three open seats to fill in November; Blanchester has two.

Others have only one candidate running, or interested in running, for school board:

  • Incumbent Barbara Graves has picked up a petition packet to run for the North College Hill City School District board of education. There are two seats up this November and no official candidates yet.

  • Incumbent Linda Radke has picked up a petition packet to run for the St. Bernard-Elmwood City Schools board of education. There are two seats up this November and no official candidates yet.

  • Incumbent James Reeb, Jr. has picked up a petition packet to run for the Finneytown Local Schools board of education. There are two seats up this November and no official candidates yet.

  • Amanda Rawlinson has picked up a petition packet to run for the Felicity-Franklin Local School District board of education. There are two seats up this November and no official candidates yet.

Here's who else is running for school board in Greater Cincinnati this November, as of Thursday.

Who's running for Cincinnati Public Schools school board?

Longtime school board member Eve Bolton and current school board President Ben Lindy are the only incumbents running for reelection on the Cincinnati Public Schools board of education so far. Carolyn Jones' seat is also up for reelection.

Bolton and Lindy are joined by three other candidates vying for the three seats: Bryan Cannon, Kendra Mapp and Paul Schiele.

Michael Dantley, Jody Graf and Kimberly Huckleby have also picked up petition packets but are not yet officially in the race.

Who's running for Deer Park school board?

Paul Godwin and Chris Huster are running for reelection to the Deer Park Community City School District board of education.

Another candidate, Kara McCormick, has picked up a petition packet to run for an unexpired term ending in 2025.

Who's running for Indian Hill school board?

Niki Singh, the board's current vice president, is running for reelection to the Indian Hill Exempted Village Schools board of education. There are two open seats to fill.

Another candidate, Robert Warfel, has picked up a petition packet to run. Warfel also ran for school board in 2021.

Who's running for Loveland school board?

Christina Jeranek, Linda Cecil, Lynn Mangan, Elliot Grossman and Josh Hendrickson are running for two open seats on the Loveland City School District board of education.

No incumbents have filed to run for reelection so far.

Who's running for Madeira school board?

Anita Grolmes is running for the Madeira City Schools board of education, where there are two open seats to fill.

Bradley Cunningham and Ann Ramos have also picked up petition packets to run. Kim Heath filed a petition to run but it was insufficient, according to the Hamilton County Board of Elections.

No incumbents have filed to run for reelection so far.

Who's running for Mariemont school board?

Incumbents Nan Dill and Kelli Neville are running to be reelected to their two open seats on the Mariemont City School District board of education.

Who's running for Mt. Healthy school board?

Incumbents Kimberly Bryant and Julie Turner have picked up petition packets to run for two open seats on the Mt. Healthy City School District board of education, along with William Carter and Deandre Willams.

There are no official candidates yet.

Who's running for Norwood school board?

Current board President Debbie Cole is running for the Norwood City Schools board of education. There are two open seats.

Alice Rericha, also an incumbent, had initially filed to run but withdrew her petition. Brittany Klesch has also picked up a petition packet to run.

Who's running for Princeton school board?

Incumbents Gina Moore, Jon Simons and Susan Wyder have all picked up petition packets to run for seats on the Princeton City School District board of education. There are three seats up in November.

Three other candidates have picked up petition packets to run: Shunda Johnson, Cassandra Saines and Austin Sanders Jr.

Who's running for Reading school board?

Incumbents Crystal Menner and Amy Thamann have picked up petition packets to run for the Reading Community City School District board of education.

There are no official candidates yet.

Who's running for Sycamore school board?

Isabel Mendez Pacios, Zeeshan Pasha, former Superintendent Adrienne James and incumbent Brad Comerford are running for two open seats on the Sycamore Community City School District board of education.

Three other candidates have picked up petition packets to run: Leah Cagle, Victor Harris and incumbent Melissa Weiss.

Who's running for Winton Woods school board?

William Speelman is running for the Winton Woods City School District board of education. There are two open seats.

Angela Knighten and current school board President Paula Kuhn have picked up petition packets to run.

Who's running for Forest Hills school board?

Incumbents Linda Hausfeld and Leslie Rasmussen are not running for reelection this November.

But there are four candidates officially running for two seats on the Forest Hills school board: Wendy Strickler Biederman, Kevin Comerford, Kenneth Kuhn and Jason Simmons.

Board President Lauren Costanzo is running for the Lockland Local Schools board of education, which has two open seats to fill in November. Incumbent Krista Blum has also picked up a petition packet to run.

Christine Colliver and Nancy Slattery are running for two open seats on the Northwest Local School District board of education.

Three other candidates have picked up petition packets to run: Victoria Lowry and incumbents James Detzel and Matthew Tietsort.

Samuel Yorgovan is running for the Oak Hills Local School District board of education, which has two open seats to fill.

Incumbent Janice Hunter filed a petition to run that is being reviewed, and Daniel Voynovich has picked up a petition packet to run for school board.

Incumbents Jeffrey Biddle and Robert Kief are running for seats reelection to the Southwest Local School District board of education. There are three seats to fill in November.

Rodney Smith and incumbent Christopher Payne have also picked up petition packets to run.

Michael Pressler and Shelly Schmit have filed to run for the Edgewood City School District board of education, which has two seats to fill this November. They are not yet certified.

Matthew Hollon and incumbent Amy Ashcraft have pulled petitions to run.

Michael Napier has filed to run for Fairfield City School District's board of education, but has yet to be certified. Incumbent Jeffrey Scott Clark has pulled a petition to run.

Joseph Copas is the only certified candidate so far running for the Hamilton City School District board of education. There are two seats to fill in November.

Incumbent Julie Shaffer is the only certified candidate so far running for reelection on the Lakota Local School District board of education. Current board President Lynda O'Connor has not filed her candidacy; there are two seats to fill.

Victor Santiago, Grant Hilty and Russ Loges have pulled petitions to run for the Lakota school board and Douglas Horton filed his petition on July 20.

Who's running for Madison school board?

Donald Distler is the only certified candidate so far for the Madison Local School District board of education. There are three seats to fill.

Incumbent Joseph Solomito has pulled a petition to run and Amy Jessee, also an incumbent, filed her petition on July 19.

Who's running for Middletown school board?

Incumbents Anita Scheibert and Chris Urso, who is the current board president, have pulled petitions to run for the Middletown City School District board of education. There are three seats to fill and no official candidates yet.

Who's running for Monroe school board?

Incumbents Tom Leeds and David Grant, who is the current board president, have pulled petitions to run for the Monroe Local School District board of education. There are two seats to fill and no official candidates yet.

Who's running for New Miami school board?

Incumbents Roy Chapman, Tari Slagle and Daniel Marcum have all pulled petitions to run for New Miami Local School District's board of education. There are three full-term board seats to fill.

Incumbent Keeley Davison has filed to run for school board, for unexpired terms ending in 2025. There are two of these seats to fill.

Who's running for Ross school board?

Daniel Korte, Eric Beckman and former superintendent Gregory Young are running for seats on the Ross Local School District board of education. There are three seats to fill in November.

Brent Guenther and Brian Hill have filed to run, and incumbent Sean Van Winkle has pulled a petition to run for school board.

Who's running for Talawanda school board?

Incumbent Rebecca Howard is the only certified candidate so far running for the Talawanda City School District board of education. There are three seats to fill in November.

Dawn King, Ivan Carver and incumbent Chris Otto have filed to run, and Andrew Langsner has pulled a petition to run for school board.

Who's running for Carlisle school board?

Incumbents Missie Miller and Kelly Milligan are running for reelection to the Carlisle Local School District board of education. There are two seats to fill in November.

Who's running for Franklin school board?

Incumbents Andrew Fleming and Lori Raleigh, who is the current board president, have pulled to run for the Franklin City School District board of education. There are two seats to fill in November.

Who's running for Goshen school board?

Current board President John Benthien and Cory West have filed to run for the Goshen Local School District board of education. Their petitions are pending.

Melissa Paprocki has also picked up a petition packet to run for school board.

Michelle Berry and incumbent Esther Larson are officially running for the Lebanon City School District board of education.

The Warren County Board of Elections website also lists that incumbents Kimberly Cope and Michael Lane have pulled to run. There are three open school board seats on the November ballot.

Wayne Siebert, David Wallace and Dan Smith are officially running for the Little Miami Local School District board of education. There are three open seats to fill in November.

Incumbents Martin Hamlin and Diane Horvath and David Whiting have also pulled to run for school board, according to the Warren County Board of Elections.

Who's running for Mason school board?

Danni Tymitz is officially running for the Mason City School District board of education.

Three other candidates have pulled to run for the school board: current Vice President Desiree Batsche, Matthew Steele and incumbent Kevin Wise. There are two seats to fill in November.

Who's running for Springboro school board?

Incumbents Lisa Babb and Sarah Schleehauf are running for two seats on the Springboro Community City School District board of education.

Brian Retterer has also pulled to run, according to the Warren County Board of Elections website.

There's also an election to fill an unexpired seat on the Springboro school board, until 2025. Jamie Belanger is running for this seat, and Brian Retterer has also pulled to run for the seat.

Who's running for Wayne school board?

Amanda Garrett and Kelly Morris are running for two open seats on the Wayne Local School District board of education.

John Massengale and incumbent Danny McCloud have also pulled to run.

Who's running for Clermont Northeastern school board?

Christa Burbage, Alexander Cunningham and Danny Ilhardt are running for seats on the Clermont Northeastern Local School District board of education. There are three open seats and no incumbents are running for reelection so far.

Rebecca Born, Paul Chambers, Myra Powers and incumbent Emily Chesnut are running for seats on the Milford Exempted Village School District board of education. There are two open seats to fill this November.

Tina Sanborn is running for the West Clermont Local School District board of education. There are two seats up this November.

Incumbent Michael Chumley and Tammy Spencer have also picked up petition packets to run, according to the Clermont County Board of Elections.

There are no official candidates yet for the Bethel Tate Local School District Board of Education. There are two open seats to be elected.

Three candidates have picked up petition packets to run: Susan Ward and incumbents Brandy Pryor, Gary Shepherd.

Current school board President Charlie Maklem is running for the Williamsburg Local School District board of education, which has two open seats to fill in November.
