Runway show stuns Paris Fashion Week with celebrity look-alike models

Vetements' Paris Fashion Week show featured a star-studded catwalk on Friday — well, at least on first glance it did.

The boundary-pushing brand put on its Fall 2020 show on Friday, sending a slew of celebrity look-alikes down the runway without any explanation.

Thought that was Naomi Campbell in that floor-length fur coat and silver maxi dress? Nope, that was just her doppelgänger. Same with that model who looked exactly like Kate Moss wearing a gold-hued mini-dress, the dead-ringer for Angelina Jolie in her pleated black satin dress and the Mike Tyson look-alike who went so far as to rock a fake replication of the boxing icon's face tattoo.

While the brand has become known for its unorthodox casting choices (often even sending some of its own employees down the runway during past shows), this decision was born out of budget restraints, believe it our not: Vetements co-founder Guram Gvasalia reportedly told Vogue that they used a Naomi Campbell look-alike for its latest show simply because they couldn't afford the real thing.

"I would have loved to have the real Naomi," Gvasalia said. "But as a young company, I am afraid we cannot afford it."
