‘RuPaul’s Drag Race 15’ winner predictions: It’s Sasha Colby world, we’re just living in it

Who will win “RuPaul’s Drag Race 15“? The Ru-vealing new season premiered Friday, January 6, 2023 on MTV with a two-part episode that introduced the sweet 16 queens competing for the crown. All season long, Gold Derby readers made their “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner predictions for which contestant they think will go the distance and claim the $200,000 grand prize. The grand finale airs Friday, April 14.

As of this writing, Sasha Colby is still fans’ pick to win, just as she was in all of the previous weeks. With just the Final 4 queens left, our readers give Anetra the best odds to come in second place, followed by Mistress Isabelle Brooks in third and Luxx Noir London in fourth.

At the ripe young age of 37, our predicted winner Sasha Colby is the most experienced queen for this 15th cycle. The beauty pageant queen is the “drag mother” of fan-fave contestant Kerri Colby from Season 14, who made it to ninth place. Both Sasha and Kerri are proudly transgender. Can Sasha now go even further than her daughter and claim the crown for her drag house.

Here is Sasha Colby’s MTV bio: “The iconic queen of the House of Colby has arrived! Known worldwide for her memorable reign as Miss Continental and as Kerri Colby’s drag mother, Sasha is a queen to be reckoned with. This Hawaiian-born goddess has been slaying drag stages for 20 years, so she’s got to live up to her legendary reputation. Serving body, beauty and bodacious all-around talent, Sasha is (officially) fierce.”

The first 12 participants sent home were: Irene Dubois (in the episode “One Night Only”), Princess Poppy (“All Queens Go to Heaven”), Sugar (“Supersized Snatch Game”), Amethyst (“House of Fashion”) Robin Fierce (“Old Friends Gold”), Aura Mayari (“The Daytona Wind 2”), Jax (“LipSync Lalaparuza Smackdown”), Spice (“The Crystal Ball: Episode 200”), Malaysia Babydoll Foxx (“50/50’s Most Gagworthy Stars”), Marcia Marcia Marcia (“Two Queens, One Joke”), Salina EsTitties (“Wigloose: The Rusical”) and Loosey LaDuca (“Teacher Makeovers”). Their ousters left just four queens still in the running to wear the crown.

Also in Gold Derby’s predictions center, our users have been forecasting who will become the Season 15 Miss Congeniality. Malaysia Babydoll Foxx is out front with 29/20 odds, followed by Salina EsTitties in second place at 9/4 odds and Marcia Marcia Marcia in third place at 23/2 odds.

This year, Mama Ru is joined at the judging panel by regular judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews and new judge Ts Madison. The guest judges included Ariana Grande, Maren Morris, Amandla Stenberg, Janelle Monáe, Ali Wong, Harvey Guillén, Hayley Kiyoko, Julia Garner, Megan Stalter and Orville Peck.
