Russia announces sending new "Ossetian volunteer battalion" to Ukraine

The pro-Russian government of Republic of North Ossetia-Alania announced that by late September, a newly-shaped so-called "volunteer detachment" is to be sent to war against Ukraine.

Details: According to him, the battalion is now practising at the training ground. Meniailo said that he would personally "organise combat coordination and lead them to the area of combat missions."
The first battalion sent to Ukraine was called Alania; it reached the combat zone 7 months ago. The Ossetia battalion was created 3 months ago. The newly created detachment does not yet have a name. Meniailo claims that the "Ossetian volunteer battalions" are equipped with separate artillery divisions and tank companies.
Background:
In July, Oleksii Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, said that Russia had started a covert mobilisation, forming so-called "volunteer battalions".
After the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defeat of Russian troops in Kharkiv Oblast, the Russian authorities have intensified covert mobilisation and recruitment for the war in Ukraine.
