According to Reznichenko, six missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense over the Synelnykove district and the city of Dnipro.

"In Dnipro, the debris of the downed missile caused a fire," he said.

"Rescue teams extinguished the fire, no one was injured."

One missile hit a private sector in the town of Pokrov. Several houses were destroyed, and windows were broken in several more. The explosion caused a fire.

Fire and rescue teams, as well as police officers are working at the scene.

According to preliminary data, no casualties have been reported yet.

The Russian invaders also launched missile strikes on the town of Shostka in Sumy Oblast early on July 5, the local mayor, Mykola Noha, reported on Facebook.

"Around 4 a.m., the Rashists (Russian fascists) launched two missiles at our community!" Noha said.

"The fire has been contained! A commission is working to clarify the damages."

In addition, Russian troops attacked the city of Mykolayiv in the morning, the city mayor, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported on the Telegram messenger.

"The invaders launched missiles at Mykolayiv in the morning," he said.

"Rescuers, medics, emergency teams and utility workers are already working at the scene."
