Russia fires 48 missiles into Ukrainian territory overnight

On the night of June 25, Russia fired 48 missiles at Ukraine, presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak reported on Twitter. Some of these missiles were fired from Belarusian territory, he noted.

“Throughout the night, 48 Russian cruise missiles were launched, hitting nothing but civilian tar-gets all over Ukraine,” he wrote.

“Russia is still trying to intimidate Ukraine, trying to cause panic and make us scared of the Z-monsters. Ukraine knows everything, is ready for anything and will pay back for all evil.”

24 missiles launched from Belarus hit military facilities around Zhytomyr. Another 20 struck the village of Desna, 60km north of Kyiv, at 5:00 am Kyiv time, though no casualties were reported, despite infrastructural damage.

At 4:00 am Kyiv time, Russian missiles hit a military facility in the Yavorivsky district of Lviv Oblast, wounding four people, the Ukrainian military reported.
