"We spent a very large number of missiles during the fall and winter period, because 850 missiles and 850 drones attacked deep within the country — not on the front line, but at our critical infrastructure. Obviously, a minimum of 1,700 targets attacked our infrastructure, and about 1,500 of them were shot down," Ihnat said on Radio NV.

Russia changed its tactics of shelling Ukraine in the spring due to a lack of missiles, Ihnat said on April 16.

Now they are mostly able to attack with S-300 missiles, which is why the southern, eastern, and northern regions suffer the most from attacks, he said.

However, Russia may intensify its missile attacks in the fall after producing a new stock of missiles, according to the head of the Center for Military Legal Studies, Oleksandr Musiyenko.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff reported on April 13 that Russia plans to start mass production this autumn of X-50 strategic air-launched cruise missiles to intensify strikes against Ukraine in the fall.

At least 50% of Russia’s long-range anti-aircraft missile stockpile has been used up since February 2022, with approximately 8,000 being fired in surface-to-surface mode.
