Five people were injured and there was damage to buildings in the west of the capital from falling debris from the shoot-downs. Loud explosions were heard in the western parts of the capital, along with the sounds of anti-aircraft cannons and the buzzing of the kamikaze drones’ petrol engines.

Popko said the enemy was increasing the frequency of air attacks on Kyiv.

“Since the beginning of May alone, in the first eight days of the month, the rashists (Russian fascists) have already carried out four air attacks! During the last air alert, which lasted more than three-and-a-half hours, the aggressor attacked with UAVs.”

Drone fragments fell on residential buildings in Sviatoshynskyi District, shattering windows and damaging a building facade. A car caught fire and several more cars and trucks were damaged in the attack.

The runaway at Kyiv Zhuliany international airport in the west of the capital was also damaged by falling debris. Roads in various parts of Kyiv were damaged, as well.

Fragments from a shoot-down fell on a two-storey building in Shevchenkovskiy District, Kyiv authorities reported overnight. A high-pressure gas pipe was damaged, probably by debris, producing a gas flare. The gas was cut off and the fire was extinguished.
