Russia loses almost 500 soldiers & 25 tanks in a day, total war losses include nearly 265,000 soldiers & 5,000 tanks
Almost 500 Russian occupiers, 23 tanks, and 23 artillery systems were destroyed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the past 24 hours.
Russia lost 470 of its occupiers in Ukraine in that period. Russia has now lost an estimated 263,490 military personnel since beginning its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
According to Ukraine’s General Staff, Russian losses as of Sept. 1 include:
Personnel: 263,490 (+470)
Tanks: 4,459 (+23)
Armored combat vehicles: 8,613 (+9)
Artillery Systems: 5,530 (+23)
Multiple Launch Rocket Systems: 735 (+1)
Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems: 500 (+0)
Aircraft: 315 (+0)
Helicopters: 316 (+0)
Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs): 4,421 (+4)
Cruise Missiles: 1,445 (+0)
Ships / Boats: 18 (+0)
Automotive equipment and tanks: 8,009 (+33)
Specialized Equipment: 831 (+1)

Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. During the first year of the conflict, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to liberate almost the entire Kharkiv Oblast in Eastern Ukraine and the right bank of Kherson Oblast in the south, including the administrative center of Kherson.
Starting from early June, the Ukrainian Armed Forces initiated a counteroffensive in the south and east of Ukraine, progressively liberating occupied territories and establishing positions along reclaimed frontlines.
