Four residents in Kyiv’s Bortnychy neighborhood were injured after Russia’s ballistic missile attack on the Ukrainian capital on Dec. 11, local district administration head Mykola Kalashnik, said on Telegram.

A 32-year-old man suffered lower limb wounds due to shrapnel, while three women aged 60, 33, and 31 exhibited acute stress reactions and were treated on site. Residential buildings and private infrastructure were also destroyed in the attack.

Kalashnik shared images showing the destruction caused by the missile attack, including the shattered windows of residential buildings.

Rescue teams, explosive experts, and investigative units are on the scene to assess the situation and provide assistance.

Several Ukrainian regions declared an air raid alert in response to Russia’s newest attack on Dec. 10-11. Russia targeted southern Ukraine with Shahed drones, while Kyiv was attacked with eight ballistic missiles.

Russia launched the missiles from the north, likely from Russia’s Bryansk Oblast, around 4:00 a.m. All eight missiles were intercepted by Central Air Command air defense units.
