Russia to partially close sky in three Russian oblasts Ukraines General Staff

Russian occupying forces have made certain gains on the Avdiivka and Pivdennyi Buh fronts. Russia is also partially closing the sky over three oblasts near the border with Ukraine for the next four days.

Details: On the Sivershchyna front, Russia is rotating units of its troops in the areas of Bryansk and Kursk oblasts near the Ukrainian border.
Russian forces shelled areas in and around Muravi and Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv Oblast, as well as Budky and Iskryskivshchyna in Sumy Oblast of Ukraine.
The information obtained by the General Staff indicates that Russia will partially close the sky over the Lipetsk, Voronezh and Belgorod oblasts on 22–25 August 2022.
On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces used tank guns, as well as tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Prudianka, Nove, Rusky Tyshky, Peremoha, Staryi Saltiv, Korobochkyne, Slobozhanske and Velyki Prokhody. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Staryi Saltiv and Husarivka.
On the Sloviansk front, the Russians shelled areas in the vicinity of Krasnopillia, Chervone and Dolyna, replenishing their ammunition supplies.
Russian troops conducted reconnaissance-in-force on the Petropillia – Dmytrivka and Pasika – Bohorodychne axes, but they failed and retreated.
The invaders attempted to conduct assault operations on the following axes: Brazhkivka – Nova Dmytrivka, Dovhenke – Dolyna, Sulyhivka – Dibrivne and Petropillia – Karnaukhivka. However, they failed, suffered losses and retreated.
On the Kramatorsk front, Russian forces continued to fire on areas in the vicinity of Mykolaivka, Siversk, Spirne and Ivano-Darivka.
On the Bakhmut front, they fired artillery of various calibres on areas in the vicinity of Bakhmut, Yakovlivka, Vesela Dolyna and Kodema and deployed aircraft to carry out airstrikes near Zaitseve, Bakhmut and Soledar.
The Russians also waged offensive battles on the Pokrovske – Bakhmutske, Semyhiria – Zaitseve and Novoselivka – Niu York axes, but they were decisively repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and retreated.
On the Avdiivka front, Russian forces used tuned and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Avdiivka, Marinka and Pisky.
Russian aircraft carried out airstrikes near Marinka, Vodiane and Krasnohorivka. Russian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to conduct reconnaissance-in-force on the Spartak – Opytne axis and were forced to retreat.
They carried out offensive and assault operations in order to improve their tactical positions on the Novoselivka Druha – Krasnohorivka, Vesele – Pisky and Oleksandrivka – Marinka axes, but were forced to retreat with losses.
However, units of Russian troops have seen partial success on the Lozivskyi – Pisky axis.
On the Novopavlivka front, the Russians fired on areas in and around Pavlivka, Velyka Novosilka, Prechystivka and Vuhledar and deployed aircraft to strike on the area in the vicinity of Novopavlivka. Russian troops made an unsuccessful attempt to advance on the Luhanske – Pobieda axis.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian occupying forces used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in the vicinity of Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Burlatske and Novopole. Areas in and around Huliaipole, Chervone and Novosilka were hit by Russian airstrikes.
Russian forces used all weapons at their disposal to fire on military and civilian targets along the line of contact on the Pivdennyi Buh front and conducted airstrikes near Olhyne, Novohryhorivka, Tavriiske and Lozove.
The Russians carried out offensive operations in order to advance on the Oleksandrivka – Tavriiske axis, but failed and retreated. On the Vasylky – Blahodatne front, however, they made some gains.
Russia maintains five naval missile carriers armed with high-precision cruise missiles on standby [in the waters of the Black and Azov seas - ed.].
The General Staff urged Ukrainians to be "reasonable" and to heed the air raid sirens.
