Russia steals almost 900 tons of grain in Luhansk Oblast

This grain, from the 2021 harvest, includes more than 600 tons of wheat grain and 275 tons of sunflower grain.

According to the Center, the invaders marked these agricultural products as “abandoned property” and transferred them to the “agrarian fund of the LPR (“Luhansk People’s Republic”).”
“That is, in fact, the Russians simply stole the grain from the owners since the latter did not cooperate with them,” the report says.
According to the Center, all such crimes are recorded by local partisans and the data is sent to law enforcement agencies.

The Starobilsky grain elevator has a total capacity of 157,700 tons, and contains concrete silos for storing 73,100 tonnes of crops and floor warehouses with a total capacity of 84,600 tonnes. The enterprise was put into operation in 1959.
In late August, reports indicated that Russians forces stole the entire grain harvest of the largest agricultural holding in Luhansk Oblast.
