Russia trying to ‘reconstruct’ bombed-out drama theater in Mariupol to hide civilian killings

He said the Russians were in a hurry to carry out “reconstruction,” claiming the “building’s historical value.”
“The only historical value arose when two bombs fell,” Andriushchenko said.

“And it is exactly what the invaders are trying to hide now.”
Russian aircraft bombed the drama theater in Mariupol on March 16. About 1,300 people were hiding in the building at the time.
According to the Associated Press news agency, this was the deadliest single Russian attack on Ukraine’s civilian population, claiming the lives of around 600 people.

Azov Regiment intelligence officer Illia Samoilenko announced on May 8 that invading Russian forces had killed a total of 25,000 people in the besieged port city of Mariupol.
