Russia ups number of ships stationed in Black Sea to 15, missile threat remains high

The ships are stationed in areas beyond the range of Ukraine’s land-based anti-ship missile systems, the commanded said in its report.
The report notes that Russian invading forces are keeping two large landing ships and three missile carriers, equipped with 20 Kalibr-type cruise missiles, at the ready.

“The relevance of the threats of missile and artillery attacks is unchanged, which means that our resilience will still be tested yet again,” the South Operational Command said.
Russia regularly launches cruise missiles at targets across Ukraine from surface warships and submarines in the Black Sea.
