Ukrainian law enforcement agents have uncovered a Russian spy network in Zaporizhzhya that directed a missile attack on the city on Oct. 18, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported on Dec. 18.

The network was headed by a member of a military reenactment club who was recruited by the enemy in October.

Using the pseudonym Palestinian, he formed a group of four informants, including his relatives, to gather information on Ukrainian military positions, residential infrastructure, and industrial facilities in Zaporizhzhya.

During searches of the suspects' homes, authorities discovered weapons, and banned Soviet and pro-Kremlin symbols.
