“As per usual, they struck residential areas, where people were sleeping in their homes,” said Reznichenko.

Three people were injured as a result in Nikopol, when at least 20 rocket munitions rained down on the city, according to the governor. As many as 40 houses and 11 apartment blocks in the city were damaged, along with a kindergarten.

Emergency services are working to restore disrupted gas, water, and power supplies, as several thousand people are cut off from utilities at the moment.

Near Kryvyi Rih, Russian shelling has damaged power lines, but there were no casualties in the attack.
