Russian attack Kurakhivka in Donetsk Oblast, killing one civilian

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has reported attacks by the Russian invaders on the settlement of Kurakhivka in Donetsk Oblast; one person was killed.

Quote: "Russians are shelling Kurakhivka in Kurakhiv hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] There is information about one killed civilian. The attack continues."

Background: Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, says Russian troops carried out two airstrikes on Myrnohrad on 27 February. Russians used the S-300 missile system to attack; four houses and a stadium were damaged. According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties.

On the Volnovakha front, Russian troops attack Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Bohoyavlenka.

On the Donetsk front, occupiers attacked Kurakhiv hromada, one civilian was injured and four houses were damaged in Hirnyk; a house and a shop were damaged in Hostre, and one more house was damaged in Kurakhivka.

Shelling was observed at night in Marinka and Ocheretyne hromadas.

There were several strikes in Avdiivka during the night, and two more massive attacks on residential and industrial zones in the morning.

On the Horlivka front, one civilian was injured, and three houses were damaged in Kostiantynivka. One more house was damaged in Predtechyne.

Over the course of the past 24 hours, nine high-rise buildings and a kindergarten were damaged in Bakhmut. Six houses were damaged in Vasyukivka in Soledar hromada.

On the Lysychansk front, attacks on Siversk and the namesake hromada’s outskirts were observed.
