Russian and Belarusian athletes are not qualified for the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games

Russian and Belarusian athletes will not participate in the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics, scheduled to be held on Jan. 19 to Feb. 1 in South Korea, Belarusian news outlet Zerkalo.io reported on Jan. 4.

“No individual neutral athlete is qualified to participate,” the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said in a statement.

However, Russian and Belarusian athletes will be eligible to compete as individual athletes under a neutral status at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, according to an earlier IOC statement.

The International Equestrian Federation stated that Russian and Belarusian athletes will not be involved in the Games in this sport.
