Russian businessmen feel more comfortable in Ukraine than in Europe, says political scientist

“Russian oligarchs feel really comfortable here (they own property in Ukraine), they give us advice from Dubai or London on how to fight,” he said.

“They shouldn’t feel comfortable. They should pay billions of dollars: not to distribute hundreds of millions of bribes around Kyiv, but billions of dollars of their assets should go into the budget so that we don’t have any holes! Our country has been destroyed! They have to pay for it! And we stand against each other. This is the worst thing.”
As an example, Davydiuk said that Russian companies have a stake in the ownership of Kyiv’s Ocean Plaza mall, which may open on Aug. 11.

“And there are many such assets throughout the country,” the political scientist said.
“(Odesa), Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv. There are many assets in Lviv. There is a factory in Lviv owned by (Vitaly) Churkin! Churkin is dead, but his factories still exist! How do you like it? In Lviv! Super patriotic city.”

“Russians feel more comfortable here than in Europe, than anywhere else in the world. Ukraine is the quietest haven for Russian capital. Because we protect them from their own missiles with our heads.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Aug. 6 formed a working group to create and implement a mechanism to compensate Ukraine for damages caused by the aggression of the terrorist country, Russia. It was headed by chief of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak.

Earlier Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had already confiscated Russian assets worth UAH 28 billion ($765.7 million).
