Russian invaders deport almost 200,000 children from Ukraine, Russian MoD says

The figures were given by the head of the National Defense Management Center of Russia, Mikhail Mizintsev, Russian news agency Interfax Russia reports.
“11,550 people, including 1,847 children, have been evacuated from the dangerous areas of the ‘Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics’ and Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation, without the involvement of the Ukrainian authorities over the past 24 hours,” Mizintsev said.
“A total of 1,092,137 people have been evacuated since the beginning of the special military operation (Russia’s term for the most recent stage of its war on Ukraine), including 196,356 children,” he said.

In fact, the Ukrainian authorities and many of the Ukrainians taken to Russia say Ukrainians are being forcibly deported to Russia.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the European Union to find instruments to influence Russia in order to return home the many thousands of deported Ukrainians.
Russian invaders are taking Ukrainians to Russia and to the territory of the sham republics they set up in the east of the country, blocking Ukrainian humanitarian corridors and setting up concentration or “filtration” camps. The fate of the Ukrainians who fail to pass the “filtration” in the Kremlin’s concentration camps remains unconfirmed.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has ordered that almost 100,000 Ukrainians forcibly deported from Ukraine be sent to remote parts of Russia, in particular to Siberia and the Polar circle, the UK newspaper The Independent reported.
Over 700,000 civilians have been taken from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts to Russia, Ukrainian Ombudsman for Human Rights in Ukraine Lyudmyla Denisova has said.
