The head of the city’s military-civil administration, Serhiy Hoshko, said that Russian troops had captured the city and hung the Russian flag over the city council, the radio station reported

“They are currently hanging their rag on the administrative building,” Hoshko said.

He added that the Russian invaders are now checking the documents of local residents.
“The local population, with whom I am in touch, says that they do not observe a large presence. There are certain groups of five people,” the head of the Svitlodarsk military administration said.
According to media reports, local residents posted on social networks that the invaders entered the city on the morning of May 24 between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
