"Two explosions as a result of a missile attack on the territory of Zhytomyr District have been confirmed," Bunechko wrote.

According to him, the missiles were fired from the territory of Belarus.

The head of regional military administration promised to provide detailed information later.

Kyiv and regions bordering Belarus had had three air raid alerts on Aug. 16 as of 5.30 p.m. The latest one sounded at 2.02 p.m., with the all-clear being given at 2.30 p.m.
