Details: The outlet highlighted that this photo confirms for the first time that MiG-31 with the number RF-92339 was converted to a K modification [i.e., it can carry Kinzhal missiles – ed.]; previously, such information was revealed only about the MiG-31 with number RF-92462.
Belaruski Hajun suggested that the third MiG-31K with the number RF-92333, which is deployed at Machulishchy airfield can also carry Kinzhals and is capable of launching them from a distance of 2,000 kilometres.
Background:
Earlier, Norwegian outlet Faktisk posted satellite images of the Machulishchy airfield that Planet Labs company made on 18 October and 31 October at 10:41 (Kyiv time). The photos show that three MiG-31K interceptor jets of the Russian Air Force, which can carry Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, are still at the Machulishchy airfield in Belarus.
Later, it was reported that tents with Russian military personnel appeared at the training grounds of Belarus in addition to Russian MiG-31K jet interceptors and containers where Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles might be stored.
