Russian military amasses reserves at border with Kharkiv Oblast
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russians are preparing their army reserves near the cities of Voronezh and Belgorod in Russia. These troops may be deployed to reinforce combat zones in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region.
Russia’s Belgorod Oblast borders three Ukrainian oblasts: Sumy, Kharkiv and Luhansk. Meanwhile. Voronezh Oblast is next to Ukraine’s Luhansk Oblast.

In Kharkiv Oblast, the Ukrainian military conducted a counter-offensive that liberated several villages. The operation has been underway since March.
Servicemembers of 92nd Brigade, supported by territorial defense units, pushed Russian forces away from the village of Mala Rohan on March 25, marking the start of the liberation of Kharkiv Oblast. Two days later, the military liberated Vilhivka and Husarivka.
On May 5, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, said that the Ukrainian military was continuing its counter-offensive operation in Kharkiv Oblast. Ukrainian troops managed to liberate several more villages from Russian occupation: Oleksandrivka, Fedorivka, Ukrayinka, Shestakove, Peremoha, and part of Cherkasky Tyshky.

On May 7, the General Staff confirmed the liberation of the village of Tsyrkuny, and three days later – Ruski Tyshky, Cherkasky Tyshky, Rubizhne, and Bayrak.
On May 11, more Ukrainian villages joined the list of liberated settlements, with Pytomnyk as the most significant one. A week later, Dementiivka also joined this list.
