Russian offensives on Avdiyivka, Bakhmut axes, fighting ongoing, reports Ukraine’s General Staff

Fighting is currently ongoing in the Bakhmut area. On the Slobozhanskyi and Pivdennyi Buh axes, the enemy is conducting defensive battles in order to maintain their occupied frontiers.

According to army command, there were no major changes on the Volyn, Polissya, and Siverskyi axes. The enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of the settlements of Hai and Mykhalchyna Sloboda of Chernihiv Oblast, as well as Nova Huta of neighboring Sumy Oblast.

On the Slobozhanskyi axis, Russian troops engaged in defensive combat operations with the aim of maintaining their occupied frontiers and preventing an Ukrainian offensive. Russians also conducted remote mining of the area.

On the Kharkiv axis, seven settlements were shelled with cannon and rocket artillery. Airstrikes were carried out near Verkhniy Saltiv and Lebyazhe.

On the Slovyansk axis, the Russian army used artillery of various types to fire near five settlements in the area.

The enemy is conducting an offensive operation on the Donetsk axis, concentrating its main efforts on the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka axes. The enemy is employing aviation in these attacks.

On the Kramatorsk axis, shelling by the Russian forces was recorded near Spirne and Ivano-Daryivka.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy shelled the areas of six settlements with tanks, cannon and rocket artillery. Airstrikes were recorded near Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, and Berestove.

The Russian military attempted offensives in the directions of Yakovlivka—Vershyna and Kodema—Zaitseve, which were unsuccessful, forcing the enemy to withdraw. Another offensive is in the direction of Bakhmut where hostilities continue.

On the Avdiyivka axis, Russian troops fired from cannon and rocket artillery in the vicinity of New York, Pervomaiske, Vodyane, and Opytne. Airstrikes near Novohradske, Pavlivka, and Prechystivka were observed. An attempted Russian offensive in the direction of Lozove—Nevelske was unsuccessful; the invading forces withdrew and regrouped.

On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia axes, enemy shelling from cannon, rocket artillery, and tanks was recorded near 11 settlements. Airstrikes were carried out near five settlements in the area.

The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance using drones near Krasnohorivka, Novosilka, and Tavriyske.

The Russian army is conducting a defensive operation on the Pivdennyi Buh axis. Their main efforts are focused on holding their occupied areas and inflicting maximum losses on Ukrainian defenders.

The enemy fired tanks and various types of artillery near 16 settlements. Airstrikes were recorded in the Andriyivka area, as well as the Khutorska valley and the Plotnytske tract.

Reconnaissance activities of enemy UAVs were observed in the vicinity of four settlements in the area.

In the Black Sea waters, the enemy's naval grouping continues to conduct their activities. The threat of missile strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains. Four Russian sea-based cruise missile carriers remain ready to use high-precision weapons.
